Recommendation for farm use?

Hi all,

Hopefully this is the right place to post this. I'd be grateful for some recommendations from all you experts. I found the site when my search led me to the "best small 4wd' thread, and I've read through it, but it didn't fit our special need exactly so I thought I would throw this out there.

We are looking for a small 4WD vehicle for our farm, which is on a hill and has steep dirt trails (not very rocky). It needs to be small as the avo trees have grown over the years and we'd prefer not to be knocking off the precious fruit!

It also needs to be able to cope with avocado bins on the back.  What we used before was an old army mule and then a Wrangler.  Our foreman welded forks on the back (on the front for the mule) and loaded the bins on there. I think they weigh around 1000 pounds. The mule was great for this but sadly I can't find anyone who can fix what's wrong with it.

We started by looking for old Wranglers but since we live in California and they are considered trendy to carry your surfboard in, they are quite expensive, even old ones.

So, I was hoping you might be able to recommendation some possible alternatives? Doesn't matter about cosmetics and it will probably never on on a public road. Budget hopefully under 6K.
I'd really appreciate all and any thoughts and advice,
thanks!

Maybe look for a Suzuki Samurai. Or maybe a small '80s-'90s Toyota pickup.
