2002 blazer grinding going up hill , stops when shift into 4-hi or ...

Lets try this again ...
When i go up hill the transfer case starts a grinding noise .... if i push the 4wd drive button it stops , or if i come to a complete stop , its stops grinding , but will start again eventually .
any suggestions where to start looking at problem ?

Hard to say. Sounds like the T-case is not fully engaging. You may need to tear it down to see if there is damage.
