need help with a 97 Grand Cherokee 4.0 Auto trans 4wd

Can any one give me a clue? The engine ramdomly cuts out for a few seconds. It always restarts when/if it happens at a stop. If it happens while one the freeway it will cut out for a few seconds and then restart on its own. The power module has been replaced TWICE. My cousin (a 66yr old woman) has called and asked for my help beacuse she thinks I know everything and I don't want to tell her the truth.

Could be fuel related. Check the pump and when was the last time the filter was changed. No check engine light on?
