Above is a link to recent problem with the truck that very well be related.

I just recently installed an oil pressure gauge on my truck to keep an eye on things after the above incident. At start up the system is pushing 50psi. after warm up at speed it is around 40psi. But when i come to a stop it drops to around 5psi in gear and only 10psi in neutral. I have not been able locate any reliable information on where the oil pressure should be for this truck. Any information would be helpful..

Typically, once the vehicle is warmed up, a good rule of thumb is about 10 psi of oil pressure for every 1,000 RPM. Now there are some engines that run forever on less than that but it's a good starting point for an engine in good condition. Keep in mind a worn engine will produce less pressure than a newer one though.
