front axle swap wj into tj

so want big brakes and crossover steering but dont want to hack up a good axle to do it so what problems would i have swapping axle for axle i dont care about gears i can swap them over i think (not worried bout resetting if i can)
any info would be appreciated

Among other things, the WJ has a different lug pattern. You plan to run two different wheels, carry two spare tires, or what?

drilling rotor and hubs for 4.5 wheels but will the mounts work or will i have to change those as well

The suspension brackets should be close if not the same but the axle is a little wider overall (and has the different lug pattern that you already have a solution for). Personally I don't think the effort will be worth the results. I think maybe a JK Dana 30 might be a better starting point. Many WJ front axles will still have the CV-style axle shafts with often problematic and leaky CV boots. They can be converted but it's just one more thing you have to mess with.
