I'm not sure this is going to come out right so here it goes. I am looking for ways to beef up a single speed transfer case"intelligent 4X4" by DANA Corp. I don't know exactly what I want to do because i'm not even sure if there are any options. My rig is a ford Escape with many mods. I have finished the suspension and am now looking at the "T-case" Is it possible to switch out the AWD/Intelligent 4X4 and replace it with a 2 speed T-Case?

Replacing it with a 2-speed would be cool. But is there room?

I will do some research and get back to you. Went to Spokane WA 7 mile park and did some hill climbs, pretty suprising what it can do w/o all the ruts that we have at our local park..

how does your traction control work???? you may find your megascape performs worse if it doesnt have the sensors or have whats needed for the traction control to work. Id start looking at measurments on Tcase sizes

that is a good question. I have a lot of research to do. I have a question somebody may be able to answer. I read or misread that one of the explorer, not sure what year , is an AWD with 4Low.....Is it possible?

If I were tring to strengthen a single-speed T-case that has virtually no aftermarket support, I would remove the case from the vehicle, compleatly disassemble it and have each and every part cryo-treated by Cryo-Science in southern California. Then I would reassemble it and install it back in the vehicle. you would net roughly a 20-30% increase in strength.
You can do anything you dare to dream.
