I have a 1993 F-150 that I would like to convert to a 4wd.  Is it just a matter of getting a front axle, transfer case, drive shafts, and cutting a hole in the floor for the 4wd shifter or is there more to it that I'm not thinking about?  About the transfer case, would I need to get a whole different tranny or would my 5 speed (4 with overdrive, however you want to look at it) manual tranny, work?  If my existing tranny would work then would I just be able to bolt a transfer case right up to it or is there some mods I would have to make?
It takes big nuts to follow us.
