This may seem like a very elementary question for most, but i am totally confused.

The previous owner installed Warn Manual locking hubs in place of the automatic hubs that came standard on this truck.  When I lock the hubs, it doesnt seem like it is going into four wheel drive, and the push buttons on the dash do not light up.

I am not really savvy on 4x4 systems and I hope that I can find the answer here.

Thanks in advance.

More likely it's a problem with the electronic push-button 4WD system, as there is no link between the front hubs and the 4WD indicator lights.

A way to check is to leave the front hubs UNlocked, but try to shift the transfercase into 4WD. If the front driveshaft cannot be turned by hand, the t-case most likely is locked in 4WD. If the shaft does turn, then the t-case is not engaging. The shifter motor on the rear of the t-case is the most likely culprit.
