I need some help! I believe the clockspring on my 2000 excursion went out.My air bag light is blinking in a 3-2 code. Also my horn isn't working. It only works when I hit the alarm. The dealer wants $338.00 to do it.The clockspring cost $90.00.I was wondering how hard is it to do myself.I have the shop manual and it doesnt look hard to do.
LIFE IS SHORT... LIFT IT UP...BLAZE IT UP... 2000 EXCURSION... 12" LIFT...ON 20"RBP...

What he said, it's pretty straight forward, usually. Just disconnect the battery and let the air bag capacitors drain for a while before you do it so you don't accidentally set the thing off. Its rare I know, but it can happen when you mess with the clock spring.

Back to the question at hand, if you are willing to drive to buena park i would be able to help you swap out your part for a small fee if you don't feel comfortable doing it yourself.
