I have a 1988 Chevy K1500 4x4, it has a 5.7L engine. This engine in this truck should have enough power to eat the tires off but it doesn't. I has no major problems that I'm aware of, but the transmission has been rebuilt and I'm not sure if the power loss is in the engine or b/c of the transmission.
