I have a 73' chevy longbed that i am fixing to lift with superlift 8" suspension kit. My problem is i cant find anybody to tell me what the biggest tire is i can run WITHOUT CUTTING MY FENDERS! I have been looking at super swampers TSL/SX
38.5x14.5x15's to go on it. That is the size i want to run but i dont know if it will rub/clear or not. Can anyone tell me if i can run these tires with the 8" lift kit?? im not cutting up my fenders because i just have got truck painted. If these tires wont clear then please tell me what is the next biggest tire i can run without rubbing fender. Thanx

You should have no issues with a 38 on an 8" lift. Post some pictures when you get it done!

Ok i checked superlifts tire/lift chart on their website and its showing from trucks 69' to like 87' with an 8" spring lift will not fit 38's under them without cuttin the fenders. I have been told by a lot of people that an 8" supension lift will fit 38.5x14.50x15 tires which is what im going to run under it. I dunno what to believe now. I really hope they fit cuz i just ordered them couple days ago and im not cutting the fenders on a truck thats just been painted torch red with PPG and is a piece of glass. Its just not worth it to me. Ill have to sell the tires and go with a 36 or 37. What doesnt make sense to me is i have a 4 inch suspension lift under the truck right now with 35x12.50x15's under it. They clear no problem at all. Now with an 8 inch lift your going up 4 inches on ur lift and with the 38's ur only going up 3 inches on the tires. It doesnt make sense to me why it wont work. Your going up more on the lift than you are on the tires. If someone can explain that to me then please do.
