Are the Chevy 1982-1993 6.2L diesels good engines? I Haven't been able to get a straight answer yet. I'm looking to turn this truck into a daily driver and mud booger. Its a 1984 c-20(4x4). Is the 6.2L diesel a good engine?

That engine is a TURD. It's slow, very slow. It won't make a good mud bogger because it won't spin up to high RPM's to get the wheel speed that you would need. For the highway and DD duties, I would say get a turbo kit for it and it will be passable.
