well some of you might get a kick outa this,
last winter I broke my leg and messed up my back bad which confined me to my house for a month, during which I got into building model body conversions for my x-mods 1:27 RC trucks and cars that I had gotten from Radio Shack a few years back well here's one of those conversions,
it's a 1:25 1955 Chevorlet 3100 stepside (Amt model Donor)on a 4x4 X-mod truck chassy that I did a battery pack re-location to when I did the model body conversion, and after looking at the pics tell me what you think

if you can't tell I had some free time on my hands, and believe it or not I do drive it around it's not a shelf queen, I geared it in such a way that It goes about a max of a scale 55MPH which is slow

I wouldn't mind seeing what it looks like with the full set of BFGs and Walker Evan Beadlocks! Does it have the XMod's 4WD kit or is it still 2wd?

For the record, I bought a first gen XMOD series R34 Skyline and converted it to '04 Mustang. Mine's got upgraded springs (medium rate), 3 sets of wheels, plus the one piece drift wheels/tires. I wish I would've gotten the STi and installed the AWD conversion, but that's another project for another day.

Dang, I wish I had the time and patience to do that! Where is a good place to get bodies that will work on the xmods chassis?

that thing is awesome! How much did you have to lengthen the chassis and how did you do it?

I streached the chassis 3 inches using aluminum tubing and a extra truck chassis part and got a peice of carbon fiber rod for the front driveline to keep it 4x4

Wow, that is simply awesome! It's actually inspiring me to do something with my Xmod. How do you mount the model car bodies to the xmod chassis?

Ebay, Radio Shack hasn't carried the trucks for the last 2 years or so, and as for 4x4 RTR they never came that way but there was a accessory set to make them 4x4 (I have like 6 of the 4wheel drive kits for the trucks, and 2 all wheel drive kits for the cars) and for the rite price I may part with the 55 which is a 4x4 rtr with a model body conversion but I ain't activaly looking to sell it.
