My chapter says any one living by corn, and the hippie state gets its own chapter.  Magazine bias lol.

california get its own chapter only cause its so big, the irony in that is the fact that its so hard to mod a truck out here and so far to go to actually use it, that its actually not even worth it, im here cause i have no choice, id much rather be back home in the south.

i guess that makes sense since the east coasts' chapter includes the whole east coast, and cali takes up the whole west coast pratically.

Yea... California is probably one of the easiest states to mod a truck in since we don't have crazy lift laws or BS state inspections. And the fact that there is a 4wd shop in just about every town doesn't hurt either. And I'm sorry that you have to drive an hour or two OUT of the city to get to the largest are of public land in the nation to wheel on and have an excellent network of STATE run off-road parks that are open to the public year round. Man this state sucks.

And yes, CA has it's own chapter because of size and activity. I'll give ANY state a chapter, if there is more than one active member.

if your complaining about cali having little to no offroad parks, than you should come over to Mass! there are literally no legal trails around here that are worth speaking of. and as for dedicated 4x4 shop? your garage or back yard is the best place for mods. i have yet to find one here around plymouth. then again, i like to do the work myself to have some feeling of acomplishment.

NO BS STATE INSPECTIONS???? smog checks are the worse, they literally failed me because i have a puch button starter, among countless other BS that i've done legally everywhere else i've lived, and i don't live in the city, theres hundreds of acres of undeveloped land out here that nobody does anything with.

Well there's your problem. What was the "countless other BS" that you did to your truck? Let me guess... no cats and a straight pipe?

My race truck passed smog legally, so whatever you did to fail was your own fault.

I'm sorry you don't like living in a state that's not full of gross polluters. Feel free to return to whatever state you are from and deal with having your truck checked for working windshield wipers, brake pads, ball joints, head lights, horn, windshield cracks, lift height, tire size, tire tread, ect each year.

California is very lax on lifted and off-road trucks, compared to just about every other state out there, with exception to say Arizona and Montana.

Problem with that land is it is either privately owned, or belongs to the federal government and is part of the base (in one form or another).

I'm over it. There is no pleasing you. You are in one of the greatest states for four wheeling and just want to *** about it. I have wheeled all across the country, and so far no other state beats California for availability and accessibility. So whatever. Sorry you can't just drive around the corner to Bubba's mud hole on the back forty.

dude, i passed emissions with flying colors and my truck doesn't require cats, its a 78 blazer for christ sake, and the problem with california is the fact of state run off road parks, where i'm from we don't have that, and the reason no southern state has as much activity is cause we don't need to go online to find some damn off road park, we just go, and i don't know what lift laws your talking about but i've never lived anywhere that had them, so name 1 southern state that has a limit on your lift, and i'm not talking about some BS headlight law either cause that don't count, and on top of all that i'm willing to bet your a native californian, and all californians are full of themselves and there state anyway, no matter how crappy it is. and 1 other thing, i'm here cause i'm forced to be here by the military, but if you can get me out, by all means go ahead and have them send me back to the south some where.

"dude, i passed emissions with flying colors"

Wait... didn't you just say you failed?

"problem with California is the fact of state run off road parks"

How so? Most of the country isn't so fortunate.

"we don't need to go online to find some damn off road park"

Neither do we. There are MILLIONS of acres of public land that anybody can wheel on at any time. Including places like The Rubicon, Death Valley, The Mojave Desert, local mountains, ect. But you seem to be stuck in your little bubble and don't want to go explore.

"we just go"

And then get a ticket for trespassing on Mr. Jones farm and come on to my site and complain about how unfair it is and how it's not your fault he didn't have a fence up. Yea, I've heard that one a million times.

"so name 1 southern state that has a limit on your lift"

Mississippi - No lift over 6" including tires.
Georgia - Bumpers can not be more than 2" above or below OEM.
North Carolina - No higher than 6".
South Carolina - No higher than 6".

Shall I continue?

"i'm not talking about some BS headlight law either cause that don't count"

They sure as heck do. It's something caused by a lift that will get you pulled over.

"i'm willing to bet your a native californian"

Well you got one right. But I'd be willing to bet that I have off-roaded in more states than you've been in, and have spoke to more local people in these states about where and how they off-road and all the trouble the have to go through just to get legal areas.

"and all californians are full of themselves and there state anyway"

Umm.. where did you say you were from again?

"i'm here cause i'm forced to be here by the military"

Yea, that's not true either. Our military is an all VOLUNTEER military. You are free to leave at any time, no mater what they have told you.

i actually like that the state runs off road parks.  They have the means to keep the parks safe and clean and if you have an accident they have the equipment to assist.  i dont mind paying $10 to try and wreck my truck. oh btw we use the web to get directions but if your not familar with technology (google) they also have brochures with pictures. also most aftermarket products are developed in cali

yeah... i failed smog, not because of emissions but because of the fact i have a push button starter and among other visual crap that they said was either tampered or modified, so basically because my truck isnt stock i failed, and if you need more then 6", then what the hell are you building, u dont need a freakin monster truck, and SC does NOT have a 6" limit, check your info, cause my buddy is from there, and the problem with the trails is they are all isolated, which is good, but too damn far away, feels too much like a chore to actually go, it should be fun, not feel like a chore, and besides if i wanna go i have to take leave cause i cant go more then 2 hours away because im in a special unit that gets called back all the time, and yes i am forced to be here, granted it is all volunteer, i still have no say in where i go, and no i cannot get out at any time, maybe if i were in the coast gaurd i could, but im not, i actually work... and whoever told u that we (the military) can leave at any time is a true idiot, and as far as the whole illegal off roading thing in the south, the smart ones ask first and normally unless its a growing season the people who own the land are normaly fine with it, and if there not, there are such things as dirt roads and log trails that work just as fine...... so yeah, bite me

Wow... I would show you where you are wrong with all of that... but it's just one giant run on sentence.

"so yeah, bite me"

Done. Don't let the door hit you on the way out.
