im sure they are. ill take ur word for it. i dont care what anybody says, at the track and the truck pulls ive been too chevy and ford run neck and neck. its to close to draw a comparison if you ask me. like i said my 88 gmc was awesome, iwas convinced chevy/ gmc was the best then my next truck chevy  1 ton ruined it. i really was bummed. i thought a 454 400 combo was the cats meow. until the 460's kicked my ass, heck EVERYBODY DID!!!lol

you dont have to take my word for it, it's verifiable if you do the research. oh and i'll build my chevy twice over for what you put into a ford or dodge, so if one of my trucks break i'll have a back up. have a nice day.

i can verify cause i work at a truck shop and i order parts for pretty much everything there is and chevy is by far cheaper in parts and more reliable so you can take your frog and dog and go play in the pet park!!!

This guy has a point,  from a technical piont of view a HEMI style engine has a more efficient burn,  but ill stick with my chevy,  dodge does make better diesel engines than chevy,  but chevy makes the 350,  i mean the 350 is an americal diehard.  so ill stick with  chevy.  

i think the slogan is chevrolet built like a rock. why? because it dont move like a rock, it sinks like a rock, and they are about as useful as a rock. your better off with ford.  

dodge doesn't make a diesel of any kind, If i'm not mistaken...ford currently owns cummins. the dodge only has a contract for the use of the cummins engine which was around before dodge was even thought of.
chevrolet actually has a "chevy" diesel that came along from an oldsmobile design in 78, then in 82 a completely new design which morphed into a 6.5 in 92, untill they started using the izuzu (duramax) which GM owns. so try and keep up ford and dodge lovers, when a 6.5 is built with 18 to 1 compression, 20+pounds of boost with a intercooler, as are the ford and dodge, they can both equal and surpass the fords using a cornbinder (international) 7.3 diesel and the cummins 5.9 found in the dodge.
the hemi is in reference to the hemipherical head design which is now outdated by new technology...back in the day a true hemi did make the difference, still got knocked off by pontiac though.

everyone has to admit that the duramax is one of the baddest diesel motors in a full size truck! better then powerpuke. the cummins is right up there too though  
'80 chev stepside,3/4 ton, 4 spd, 40" interco's, crazy flex, and one good driver lol
