In my opinion, Fords may break more than Chevys - but any other truck would break as much if they could even wheel.
But that's a girl's opinion for ya!

not whats on the front of your bumper in this sport, its how you built it
this isnt stocktrucks.com this is hardcore wheeling we build trucks we dont buy them its how much you spent and where you spent it at
im for chevy but there is allways a chevy ford dodge or jeep and some imports around that will outwheel out perform your truck
its what your setup is its who you are where you wheel
how much knowledge you have This forum is for wheelers not street trucks that like it dirty.

I prefer Ford's over Chevy's myself. Too many bad experiences, but I prefer IH Scout's over all.
I agree with skblazer that in the regards that there will always be a vehicle of different make that can at wheel yours. However, I don't believe it's how much you spend and where you spend it that matters. I believe it's how good of a driver you are that makes the biggest difference. If you're the master of your vehicle and can drive it over just about anything without lockers and huge tires and loads of money in your rig, then when you start adding lockers and big tires and all that, you'll make everyone else look like a bunch of rookies. Learn to drive your truck, don't let your truck drive you.
I've seen a few drivers who've driven obstacles like potato salad hill with relatively new stock vehicles with only limited slips front and rear. Then the guy with the souped up Jeep or fullsize has his hands full and rolls it. It's all about the skill.

yeah i hate the guys that cant drive get stuck. AND THE WORSE is when they hook your winch cable up and wrap it around there bumpers, then you have kinks in your junk... its one of them thinks that makes you wanta drag them where you found it.
To all people:
if your getting pulled out make sure your not *** the other guys junk up. maybe thats the last time you get help from him.

I would love to see you try. It would be good for a couple of laughs anyway. My truck as it sits now weighs about 7800lbs and when is "working" it weighs about 9000lbs or more. I drug a truck out of the ditch with a bed mount salt spreader last month without too much fuss in a snow storm. It just has a small block in it too.

The weight of the spreader in the back of the truck helped out with keeping the wheels from slipping too though. That doesn't mean the trucks real powerful. I know a guy that has a 77 f-150 with a 390 in it that pulled our towns pump truck fully loaded with water out of a ditch with ice on the road. Now does that mean that his truck is better than anyone else's not necessarily it just means that he had the right amount of traction. So what does your truck pulling the other out of the ditch really have to do with what was said

I had not spreader in the back of my truck, it was the one in the ditch that had it so it was heavy. Power is a relative term as it is getting it down the the ground that counts. There is a misconseption that you need a 300 plus HP motor to pull anything hard. Gears and traction make it happen, not the motor type. This started with the bragging about a Ford and I know better as I have been doing this for about 30 years now.

Your right I misread about the spreader, but if you would of payed attention I was saying the same you just did about the traction, and I agree that the way the truck is set up sure does help

i personally argree with most of what people here said, but the ones just hating.... i drive a chevy myself, but for example i think it is good what dodge is doing with the powerwagon! and also it is right that first you have to be a good driver and then it is a matter of how the truck is set up and for what, not what company it comes from. and definately you will always find a truck that outrrperforms yours, not matter what brand it is! and isn´t this all about fourwheeling, sghouldn´t we just respect other people and have fun wheeling with them no matter what they drive?

I couldn't agree with you more no matter what we drive, we should all just accept that not everyone will like the same vehichle as you. Yet does that really matter as long as you both like to go wheeling and have fun while doing. Yet that doesn't mean that a little friendly heckling is out of the question.

i agree that its the driver not the car iv got a 91 ford explorer with only a 3 in body lift not even bigger or agresive tiers yet and iv taken it out to our trails and out wield ppl with huge desile truks so it really isnt the car its the driver and i say wheeling should be a drivers stoprt as much as a bigger better truck sport the should have stook comps

I think your all wrong its all about the wieght of a vehicle. My friend has a totally stock little isuzu with 31 swampers and a stock fourbanger that pulled out a 1ton duallie 350 in mud that sucks you down if you stand around too long.
