Okay I have a '75 K10 that I just bought. I got a killer deal on it, it belonged to a buddy of mine. It has a BRAND new engine in it, never started, which leads me to my problem. When I turn the key, the motor groans and barely turns over, then gets a little faster but nothing like the speed needed to start it. It acts as if the battery is almost dead, but I just bought a brand new battery that has 1000 Cranking amps, and it has a brand new starter in it. I am so confused, I am in desperate need of help.

Also, another thing that I have no idea about, After i cranked it over for ten seconds, the hard brake lines were hot... like i couldnt hold on to them. I found this out by brushing my arm on them on accident. While it was cranking, I checked the plugs for spark, and there was no spark. Power is getting to the coil. I have some issues with wiring... Where do I start??
