Suzuki Samuri, old CJ, FJ-40, early ford bronco, old ranger, older solid axle toyota pickup. There is a start if your looking more for a mudder. Then you might look at the old ford highboys, fullsize broncos, chevy high sierra, k5 blazer, or a dodge ramcharger.

What I would recommand would depend on what you are looking for as it is not a blanket statement. Some want big and some want small.

The best are '73 to '82 Chevy K5's - by far !! These trucks are inexpensive by today's standards, very reliable if maintained well, replacement parts are relatively inexpensive and plentiful, and it can be off-roaded or mudded with pretty much factory options. Some options are better than others - the best factory options in my opinion are 350ci power, TH-350 tranny, NP-205 T-case, Dana-44 axle in front, and Corporate 12-bolt in back. Hope this helps you some.
