I have a 76 k5 4x4 and it is a stock drive line. I dont know if it has a np208 or 203. I also have a 84 z28 camaro that the body is shot and I gave the motor to a friend but it has a nice rebuilt 700r4 in. I want to swap that into the k5. The k5 is just my hunting rig so nothing fancy here just woods.
my question is, is the 1984 700r4 tranny a 27 spline or how do i tell? and how much longer is the shafts going to be and how much modification will I be doing. I have the tools, the time and the desire to get this done. If you can help with any info in getting this TH350 out and this 700r4 swaped in I would be greatful.

Hi I am new to the sight and I am looking for information. I have a 1986 bronco II with a 2.9 liter engine and an a4ld autotrans which was just rebuilt but my tranny guy says the tranny is not a good one ti use. I have just retired and want to do a little more off roading but no competition of rock crawling. I want to go with some 30/32 inch rubber and I am wondering if I would be wise to convert to a standard truck type trans with a granny gear. Perhaps some of you can advise me as I am not up to date on what will work as far as bellhousing and what type of tranny to look for used or what I can bolt the tranfers case up to.

Any thoughs and suggestion would be welcome
