What do you think about Real Truck Challenge?

Any comments on the trucks?

one comment i think the trucks were a pretty even match.  i think most of them represented real world wheeling.

not allowing 44's next year is B.S.  big rubber makes up for lack of more expensive unREAListic mods like four wheel steering. this is REAL truck right?

lets loose the mud race.  wtf is that?  how about a mini tank trap or a mud hole at least?

what do you think?

I think the quality level was very different.

One of the trucks had the pitman arm welded to the steering box shaft, they must have stripped the threads or splines, and just welded onto the shaft.

Two had rear axle wrap so bad it broke the rear u-joint several times, one broke the yoke on a 14 bolt because of axle wrap.

Several had no suspension limit straps or bump stops,  just bottomed out the shocks.

Two blew the front diff parts.

The tires on the little Bronco hit the body & frame in many places.

I was amazed that some of the trucks were still running by the end.

In my opinion, Cody Bloodworth had the best performing truck for the money.  His truck has stock front & rear axle, stock transmission, stock body, stock transfer case, stock style suspension, mostly stock engine.  Sam's truck has alot more power & handling, but I bet it cost double to build it.

well all that carnage is exactly what happens on the trail when wheeling a realistic vehicle.

Codys truck was  one of my favorites, i was dissapointed not to see him get picked for top truck.

Cancelled for 2007, not sure if it'll be back for 2008.

If Real Truck does not return, will there be anything taking it's place?

Well, I think TTC may be a little out of my budget, but you never know. If you guys ever put something else together feel free to let me know. I had a blast at RTCC and meeting new people on unknown adventures is always fun.
