hello friends and fellow wheelers! i know its been awhile since you have heard from me. i finally decided to keep the jeep a jeep. i went with a 401 to a 727 to a special adapter to a dana 20. works great cant beat the combo with a stick. my 04 2wd drive chevy is now a pre runner with a three inch lift. but to the problem at hand.my little brother is 15 and wanted a 4x4. so me him and dad started looking around we found a 74 chevy 3/4 ton and fell in love. the truck has very little rust new tires and the lady that owned it just wanted it gone.SO after some horse trading we took the truck home and we cant get the 350 to turnover at all. i put a new battery in and have power all over the truck but not to the starter. so i changed the old battery cables and nothin. i put 12 volts to the starter and got nothin. took the starter off and tested it it was fine. what am i over looking? this has to be a simple problem but for some reason i cant figure it out

Check ground straps between battery and engine and frame.

you might want to check the ground wires that run to the starter
