im thinking of putting alocker front and rear in my 83 chevy i have heard alot about them iv been told not to lock the rear just the front because off turning radius is it worth lossing the steering for a locker because with out one my turning sux as it is with dana 60s and 38 inch tires please lend me some advice

If you put a locker in the front it will turn even poorer. Tires need to take differing paths in front in a turn and the ujoints in front axle are not constant velocity and steering will whip badly in a tight turn with a locker like a Detriot or Lockright or such. I would suggest a LSD like a true Trax up front. Also in the rear, lockers like listed above canot power both wheel in a turn at different speeds as they drive the inside wheel or both at same speed and neither of which helps you turn. If turning is importantant you want a LSD like above or a slectable locker not a detriot or the like.
