I have a 1995 Ram 1500 4x4. The truck is completely stock and I'm running 285/75R16's I have seen a lot of people recommend bigger gears before cold air intakes and bolt on stuff. My only question is what should I run, and how hard is it to do yourself?

It's very difficult to do your self if you don't have the tools or experience. Leave gears to the professionals.

And with 285's you don't need to gear it. If you jump up to a 35 then I'd recommend going to 4.10's or 4.56's depending on what engine you have.
