i have a '72 chevy k20 and i just put some brand new general grabber AT2 295/75/16's on it. now, i'm starting to think about a 4 inch suspension lift and i'm wondering if i will need to extend the drive shafts or do anything else to it so that nothing breaks? please help. thank you.

hi there, with 4" of lift you won´t have driveshaft problems, with a 6" lift you would have to extend them (at least the front one) but you are fine. the only thin you would have to do is either get a drop draglink or a raised steering arm to correct the steering and also you´d need longer brake lines. since your truck dooesn´t have a swaybar i assume you don´t have any problem there either. superlift makes a nice 4" steering arm that i will use on my 78 K20 this summer and it is only about $30!!! and i got some stainless steel braided extended brakelines from procomp through offroad design! they are a little pricy but worth every penny in the long haul! hope this helps!

cool! :-) thank you! looking forward to seeing them! well i´ll get some pics done this summer in august when i put my lift on and i can send some to you too! are you going with blocks or springs in the back? (i would not use blocks, even though they are cheeper, they are not a good set up for a true 4x4! and just a little tip. if you wanna level your truck, all you need to do is buy a liftkit the way it is! if you like the back higher than the front, like i do, go with 4" springs front and 6" springs in the back. thsi wuill rase the truck evenly 4" front and back to keep the angle like the oem suspension was set up! ;-)
