I am considering outfitting a '05 or '06 TJ unlimited rubicon as a ranch jeep that will also see some challenging off-road use and some on-road.  I would like to put a 2-3" suspension lift on it.  What is a great smooth-riding lift kit on the market?  The ranch roads can be pretty rough and I often have my wife or guests riding with me.  Most of the time we use a Polaris Ranger to get around and the smooth ride has spoiled me.  I have a '99TJ outfitted by AEV with a 3" OME lift now.  I like it but wondered if there is something that is softer.  Thanks for any help.

It depends on the terrain and what kind of wheeling you want to do.  I've got a 4" Pro-Comp short arm lift on my '05 unlimited and it's not soft on the highway but the suspension does cycles smoothly at all but it flexes and gets me where I need to go on the trail.  Lately I have been eyeing the long arm kit from Clayton as it's really a nice ride on the road and great on the trail.
