I would like to know it dana 50 ttb knuckles will fit on a dana 60 axle. Both would be for a ford of course. I want to put a solid axle in my 96 F-250 diesel for plowing. I might be able to get my hands on a dana 60 DRW, so I'm hoping my knuckles will fit.

For the trouble it is worth, I would just look for a complete front axle (a 50 or a 60) to put it is. My understanding is that a 50 is basically a 44 in a 60 style housing (tube and knuckle wise) that still uses a 44 ring and pinion. Ford used a lot of 50's in late model trucks and you should be able to find one at a bone yard from a wreck and it would more than be up to the task you need. Even 44's are pretty stout if you keep tires sizes down to 33 or less. The 50 would carry more weight than a 44 which would be wise with a diesel and a plow because of the heavy front end and load capacity wise, a 60 in the front would offer no advantage over a 50.

My truck is a SRW(single rear wheel) with a TTB(twin traction beam) DANA 50. The axle I might be able to get is a DRW(dual rear wheel) DANA 60. Therefore to retain my stock rims I need to change the steering knuckles, which is why I'm asking if anyone knows if they will bolt up to the 60. SRW front axles are hard to find where I live. Thanks.

Okay I have you now, you are talking about front axle out of a DRW P/U that is a 60. You "should" be able to pull hubs and splindles and swap them out.

The diffrance between the SWR and DWR is a Dully addapter that bolts on to the hub. Both Ford and Dodge do this. The unit bearing axles with ball joints are the models that have the addapters. I know the Dodge units wont fit my D60 Chev, but will clear a 44 or 10 bolt. So, the D50 is the same for SWR or DWR, the DWR has an extra 100 plus pounds of iron bolted on. Torque on the lugs for the addapter is very important. The lugs on the unit hub for the SWR are longer than the DWR, if you mount singles, make sure you have good thread contact on your lug bolts. Swapping the lug bolts would not be hard, just time and money. But less than the cost of hub bearings.
