I like a bit of everything, but I like it to be part of a trail. I'm not ito hanging out at the local hole, I'll leave that to the local drunks. I agree I hate the clean up of mud after a run and even more if I have to crawl undr to fix something but if it just part of the trail, I'll give it a go. Lator....

I love Sand for dirt bike riding, like Sand for 4wheelin.
I love Dirt/Two-Track for 4Wheelin' and like it for riding.
Desert Trails are fun.
I'm not big on rock crawling, though I have done it and will do it again. Same thing with Mud. I prefere to watch people get stupid in the mud rather than tear up my truck. (yes, mud is VERY hard on your truck)
---------------------------------------------------------------- My truck has recently been described as both "Boring and Mechanical". And I love it!

I like the two-tracks and I also like to boldly go where no rig has gone before (que the star-trek theme). I know all the tread lightly fans are going nuts but someone had to make the other trails we all love. We don't have alot of rocks around here and the sand around here isn't dessert quality so it isn't any fun unless it's wet. We do have red clay and Gumbo and they are the two slickest naturally occuring terrains you will ever find.

MUDDIN ALL THE WAY. OF COURSE THERE IS THE OCCASIONAL MAKING YOUR OWN TRAIL OR RIVER HOPPING. GOTTA RUN THE RIVER TO RINSE OFF THE TRUCK AND DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN

i like all kinds of trail riding and mudding, up here in MN we cornfield mud, lots of rain and an plowed field and you get some of the tickest, deepest mud you will ever see, i hate rocks which is good cause we dont have many, id rather come home and clean mud off than come home and do bodywork

I'd take any road in Baja over anything else any day. No "safe Speed" laws... I used to love rocks until I went 130MPH down the beach in Baja. 3-foot roller whoops are my favorite.
You can do anything you dare to dream.

i gotta go with the sand! 4 paddles on your truck haulin' up the tallest dune around is the best! plus watching all the 2wheel drives getting stuck and having to pull em out...thats just priceless!

My favorite offroading is a truck with a trailer and horses in trailer that you use when you get to your "spot". With horses off road you can go places that you cannot even dream about in a 4x4 and when you get it a tight spot you can give them free reign and they can sort it out for you. You can ride them all day and not worry about running out of gas either and if you plan it right to can even "recharge" them on the trail with what nature provides for extended outings lasting more than a day. I have ridden them in mud, snow, hot and cold and they always get the job done. Granted you have to trailer them but then so do some with 4x4's. Trailer riding with horses gives a whole new meaning to the meaning and power of horse power.
