I was told that a 6.2L diesel is prety much a 350 block and most of them have six bolt mains to handel the torque I was thinking of converting it over to gas  will 350 heads fit? can i use the same style maine bearings/rod bearings Exc.  Is it posible  I could build a nearly indistrutable gas motor?

You were told wrong. Before the 6.2 there was the GM350 diesel based on a Olds gas 350 motor and it could be converted to gas since it was based on a gas motor for the start. The 6.2 is not. The 6.5 diesel shares the 6.2 block so you could upgrade to a 6.5 TD without too much trouble.
