I have heard some rumors about it being possible to mate a small block chevy to the stock toyota transmission and running gear. If this is possible does anybody know how i would go about doing so and what parts i would neef and if there is a company i could call. I plan on upgrading my drivtrain later but i am wondering because i have a running 305 in my garage and my brand new (to me) 83 toyota truck i got for 600 lifted 4in on 33 with all the running gear perfect no rust body and bobed bed but no motor thats it so i want to drive it and its the only way until get the other truck for the running gear and help is greatly appreciated

It will overpower the drive train, add a lot of weight to front end and be a tight fit too and possible cooling issues as well. I would suggest a Toy V6 or possible a GM 4.3 V6 as it will fit better length wise, be easier to cool and not over drivetrain as much and add less weight too.

An early 80's yota with a FI 4.3L, 5 spd, 4.88's and 33-35" tires is my dream rig.
