79 gm cab, 87 frt clip. hood problems??

im building a 87 3/4 ton chevy, i bought a different cab (orrigional was smashed and rotted) which i discovered was a 79 afterwards. the front clip is a late 80's style, now im lookin for a way to get the hood on it. the 80's cab has cut outs in the cowl area and the hinges bolt to it, the 79 cab doesent have anything for hinges because they mount on the fenders, does anyone know how to pull this off???? my options so far are to fabricate the 70's hinges onto the front clip or make my own. if anyone has any ideas or has dont this please help me out, i wanted this project done before it snows but its sittin there in my driveway with a foot of snow on it now.

the easiest fix, get the front clip that goes with the cab. 73-80 or 81-91 is the only way i know of. the fenders, cowl, hood, do not interchange through those year splits. best of luck to you
