FYI

majority of people have no body to blame but them selfs. the elected idiots didnt vote them selfs in. also i have no sympathy for the bankrupt cities.  When they were raking in all that money when it was good instead of putting it aside and saving it for a rainy day all they did was hire and spend more money on things that would piss me off.  i hope cali goes bankrupt then maybe instead of peeps pushing agendas maybe they would do the right thing and pay bills and balance the budget

I'm definately not a fan of the smog laws here, but it sure beats living in some back water hick town. I've got the center of all desert racing, the mountains, the ocean, endless desert and mountain riding trails less than 2 hours away. A short drive will lead to 4 areas of dunes, no less than 20 motocross tracks, 3 shortcourse racing venues, 4 entire series of desert racing, and Baja, if I ever care to go back. Damn, I guess I love California. What does every one else have, mud trucks?  All you people from out of this state can stay the hell away and go screw your sister. This state is the best in the country and if you can't see that, then congratulations, the liberal hate breed media has successfully brainwashed your tiny mind and implanted their agenda into your life.

I will say the smog laws here are quite brutal, but with one third of all cars sold in the United States being sold in california they kind of have to be, but i still think Kevin got a raw deal because of that hose not being labeled PCV. If we didn't have budget issues we would have some other contoversy like our governor resigning because of the pressure from ethics probes or having an affair with some woman from argentina. Specifically in Orange County our infrastructure is awesome, meaning road conditions, sewer, storm drains, water supply and electrical grid. Some school districts in orange county are better then others but over all we have good schools here.

Keep telling yourself that.  You can't pay me to believe it, and I lived in the good part of California, NORTHERN CALIFORNIA!  Where the air is cleaner and there are less people.  So keep your narrow minded ideas about how the rest of the country is all backwoods and dumb country.  Please stay in California and that will make me happier than can even know.  The people that are content being TOLD how to live are the ones who make me sick.  Nothing but SHEOPLE!  Drink the kool-aid and put the blinders on and keep believing it.  You're right, CALIFORNIA IS FRICKIN' AWESOME MAN!

You barely lived in California. You had the bad -high taxes, rampant dumbocrats and smog- and none of the good. You might have well lived in Washington. At least the gloom up there is enough to kill yourself.

I barely lived?  I saw enough, believe me.  Trying to raise a young family there, ARE YOU KIDDING ME?  The public education there is horrible!  The crime.....forget about it.  You think I want to bring my kids up in that environment?  Guys, believe me, before I had kids, I was a die hard Californian.  Then, thinking about raising my kids there, and being a small business owner and dealing with all the taxes, workers comp insurance, and smogging vehicles, and property taxes.  It's too much, believe me.  If you like where you live, then my hat is off to you.  But to stay in a spot and preach about how good it is when you have never been other places that you dog on, that is just being narrow minded.  Frankly, the 29 years I spent there, were all democrat and ever growing smog requirements and taxes.  I hate to be the bearer of bad news here, but if you think it's going to get better, your head is stuck in the sand here guys!  The other thing is that you never know how good something else might be until you try it.  If you consider 30 years in that state, and 15 of those years paying taxes mind you, barely living there, then I pity you.  Maybe you remember the good years, but if they were over 30 years ago, then what's the benefit now?

No, I am not related to snoman.  A wise man once said, "Never argue with an idiot, they'll only drag you down to their level, then beat you with experience".  So, I can see this debate rapidly approaching that level and I now respectfully withdraw from it.  I truly hope all of you who reside in California are happy there, and that you continue to be so, as I was unable to be happy there any longer.  I hope for your sakes, the state does improve.

but the ocean!!! and the sun!!!

and the wooooomen!!!

Did you know that people who live here are generally happier? Its nature, sun light is good for you, it heals your body and helps it produce the vitamins you need. It helps you sleep at night better, and generally puts a smile in your face

sorry, VERY FEW moved out of california because they had millions of dollars but didn't like it here, if you can afford to live here and deal with the live-in-cali tax, then you're fine, yeah its a *** but that's why everyone wants to make some money here...

los angeles is not a "bad place to raise your kids", its all in your parenting and how you raise your kids. cali is a pretty clean place, its not a giant red light drug district with corruption on every corner, in fact, it is pretty damn strict.
