SOoo go to take my truck in to get get smogged.

No biggy it runs great right.......    my airaid intake tube doesnt have a carb stamp.  Since when in the hell does a intake tube have anything to do with emissions???   its what coming out of the engine that matters so i thought.  since my illegal intake tube goes to the stock air box i always figured it was fine.

sooo go home and put my stock intake tube/box/plastic thing back on.   well i cant find the Pcv  hose.  no biggy its a 3/4 ID hose.  WRONG it has to say PCV on it or its not legal.  because you know that hose is made from monkeys in guam and it HAS to be that or my motor wont run right......    what a bunch of ***

so i go to vatozone to look for some "pcv tube"  wrong again no one sells it. its that rare and special.  i call the dealer, 30 bucks for 4inches of magic hose and it wont be in till wednesday.  smog is due tomorrow......     again what a bunch of Q#($*Q_*@

Holy Crap! Never heard of such a thing. You must have caught your smog tech on a bad day! usually they dont even give a second glance at anything that trivial. Especially since you passed the emissions standards.

I say we all move up to Oregon!!

I'll be waiting...

I don't live inside the "smog" area so I don't have to go through an emmissions test for new tags...

2 diff places and they wouldn't let you slide?! Damn.... took my civic to a test only station with a motor swap, the wrong intake and filter box, and a CARB legal header but for a different year and the dude didn't even bat an eye. Just hooked up the leads and ran it.  But with the way things are going I'm sure the state is cracking down on the smog boys too! Its like a $50,000 fine if they illegally pass vehicles! Ooooooh the the things we suffer to bask in the California sunshine...... I'm down for the move to Oregon too. When does the boat leave? Lol

ok so these smog mogs dont know if the part is stock for your car or not. all they know is if its illegal or not

as far as the after market part go online and see if you can download the sticker. sticky paper is super and available.

2nd did you take CASH and tell the guy you had cash ALWAYS TAKE CASH WHEN SMOGING YOUR CAR i bet you can get that part for 5, 10bucks at a local j yard

GOOD LUCK

stupid....

mines still reg. in TN. But next month in July, I have to get new tags.. and don't wanna get all new CA driver license or plates for truck.. cost to much and sux...

but our emissions in Nashville was simple drive in, hook up to PC and look good, and drive on out.. so i'm scared of what they will want me to do here..
