im wantin to lift my 87 ranger.  ive found several lifts and i just wanted to know what companies other people have used and liked.  what companies have offered the best prices, service, and ease of instalation.  also how easy the intructions are to read.  also, what suspenition lifts do you all have? aslo, what are some good driveshaft companies?  i think i may need a longer front drive shaft and maybe even a rear one.  not sure, i want a 5 inch lift at least.

If it ain't broke, you ain't playin hard enough.

i would seek out a ranger club and ask them.  all of my lifts are totally frankenstiens that work great, but that might not be the best thing for a ranger. the price and service is really going to be from the shop you buy it from locally, not the manufacturer.  just beware of cheap companys, as their coil springs don't seem to hold up as well as the big brands do.  i had cheap 3 in lift springs in my xj, and about 4 months later my tire on the pass. side started to rub again. i called the company and they said that because i had a winch and grill guard that there was no warranty, and i was sol. now i have a set of used stock zj springs from a v-8 and an adjustable spacer. they have been in there for over a year and there is no rub, nor have i adj. the spacer. so ask around to your local ranger boys, follow them untill they stop if tou have to.
