i found a chevy 454 big block in a mid 80s work truck, i dont know what kind of condition its in, but the owner says it runs and it hauls, but i dont know, ive got a small block 350 in my truck now, but i want more power would it be worth it to swap in the 454 or would it just be a waste of time, money, and gas? i get 11 mpg now with the 350 and with the gas prices the way they are today, im kind of skeptical. but 500$ for a running 454 is really too good of a deal to pass up. and another question, will that big block even fit into the engine well of my 95' Z71? any help will be appreciated
