If you want to do some seriously crazy susp. mods to it, check out www.dandcextreme.com. Go to their suspensions then check out their Spring over axle susp or their 4 link kits. I had Randy Ellis of R.E.D in Phoenix, AZ. do my SOA and I love it. I have a 79' Traveller with 35's, a 3" body lift and a Spring over which nets me 6" of lift. All in all I'm sitting at 9" just in springs and body lift. Tires add extra. You can get 2.5" and 4" lifts from Superlift or Rancho, but the SOA is sooooo much better. I would definitely go with later model Scout II Dana 44's, make sure that you get the front axle with disc brakes. If you want some pics of how my truck turned out I'll give you the web address so you can check out some of the wheeling pics and see for yourself. If you have any questions at all, let me know. I've done the whole Scout suspension thing, and so much more.
