ok heres the scoop. ive got a 1991 mitsubishi mighty max 4x4 pick up. it has a 3.0 v6 mated up to a 5speed tranny all original. it has IFS and a solid rear axel. ive checked around and cant find a lift for it anywhere.i want to lift it 3 inches prefferbly not body. its body resembles a toyota of the same yr. any ideas or leads that might help? 4wd parts had nothing on the truck.right now im running some30x9.50 on it but i want to run 33's. any ideas im open for it.

Try www.truckandtractor.com and then go to Montero accessories and parts. They also have some stuff in the montero section for pickups. Truck and tractor used to be John Baker ( mitsubishi specialists). If they don't list one they may have one stuffed in the corner somewhere, so give them a call or an email. I have a 1994 Mitsubishi Mighty Max 4x4 and I can't find anything for it either, so good luck.

The Mighty Max shared the same DNA with the Dodge Ram D50 until 1995 so you might also check around the Internet for Dodge parts since they should work on your rig (assuming they even exist). I don't recall any suspension lifts for the Mighty Max, but there were some 3-inch body lifts available that you can probably find online. You might be able to fit 33s with the lift, but I suspect you'll probably need to do some fender-hacking also. Check with Truck and Tractor (John Baker) either way, though.
Once upon a time (1989?), we had a Mighty Max in the Four Wheeler long-term test stable, and lemme tell ya, that was one of the BEST all-around trucks we've ever had in our fleet. Not the most comfortable to ride in, maybe, but it sure was fun to drive, damn near bulletproof and you could wheel it through a lot of rough terrain that the IFS Toyotas and Nissans couldn't handle (our rig had a solid front axle). Rumor has it that Mitsubishi is bringing back a pickup truck of some sort for 2005 or '06 at the latest, maybe based on the Dodge Dakota platform. Stay tuned.

quick question: why mistubishi? it sounds like your goin to replace most of whats in there anyway. why not get somethin AMERICAN made and not have to worry about replace all of the drivetrain? its cheaper and easier because you dont have to worry about trying to find parts and fabricating things you cant find. plus parts are redily available, depending on what you get. so, just leave the thing like it is, sell it, and get a good truck. If it ain't broke, you ain't playin hard enough.

ok thats cool. thats kinda what i want to do to my truck. ive got an 82 f-150 and i want to change the entire drivetrain to chevy stuff, and keep the cheap ford body. that way i dont have to worry about ruining a good body. only prob is my truck is only 2wd. If it ain't broke, you ain't playin hard enough.
