My F250 will be in need of tires before the end of the year, I am looking for just a stock replacement something like 265/75/16 the stock size is 235/85/16 but that would be to skinny. I was considering a highway tire since i didn't buy this truck to go wheeling and because they are so quiet. Any suggestions for all terrain tires that are near the quietness of a highway tire, or maybe not noisey enough to be heard over the sound of my engine? I was looking at the Nitto Dura Grappler, BFGoodrich Commercial T/A All-Season and the Firestone Transforce HT. Load range E of course, any ideas?

Pro-Comp All Terrains.  Most of the time you can gat the buy 3 get 1 free deal plus they have a 50K tread wear warranty and a no questions asked road hazard program, all included in the price of the tire.

my experience with that was crap.  the warranty only applies if you have your tires routinely balanced and rotated by 4wheelparts.  at least thats the way it was years ago.   getting anytyhing done at 4wheelparts is a nightmare.  it took them hours just to mount my tires years ago. let alone have them maintian them.

How about the kuhmo all terrain, those seem like a good value, by that i mean good wear characteristics, low noise on the highway and when i do ever leave pavement i won't regret my purchase. I ran kuhmo all terrain on my scout when it was stock and they seemed great, but my scout is so loud anyways i could never really hear the tires, like now with my procomp mudders i can't even hear them.

My experience with Nitto terra graplers (AT)
My friend has had two blowouts. and yes they have proper pressure and have descent tread.
mine have small sidewall cracks,  the wear has been eh and traction is ok, not so good in the wet weather. but that could be the hemi.

for the price tag, ill be going with a different brand next time.

BFG all terrains are not loud they wear great and prolly cost less then the overpriced nittos.

Needmud has been around a while dealing with shops and people that buy and sell tires.  shoot hes running one right now.   id say he has a little cred. lol

Anybody got experience with the Mud-Terrain T/A KM2's yet?  I am thinking of putting these on my 79 Jeep.
