Hello and thanks for taking the time to read this, hope you can help. I recently shoehorned a 1982 toyota 22r motor conected to a 1987 toyota trans from a efi truck into my Suzuki samurai. With the stock clutch and used parts(slave, master), all worked well. I replaced the stock stuff with a centerforce 2 clutch, new master and slave and new clutch line. The flywheel was also resurfaced at this time. With the dowel pins reinstalled and the clutch affixed to the flywheel i figured it would be no time till i was on the trail. Now, the cluch wont disengage. I bled and bled and bled and bled the system and scratched my head some more. The slave cylinder doesnt seem to be getting full travel...i rachet strapped the clutch fork backwards alittle and then stepped on the clutch and it worked fine. Could the centerforce be too much for the toyota hydralics? Did they machine too much from the flywheel? PLEASE HELP IVE STUMPED EVEN THE MOST KNOWLEDGABLE FRIENDS AND MECHANICS I KNOW

This is easy. My guess it that the stock zuki slave and master cylinder for the clutch does not move enough oil and have enough travel to work clutch as confirmed but the fact it would work if you strapped it. You likely need a bigger master cylinder the dispalces more oil to activate the slave properly.
