I have a 03 Sierra 1500.  I need to install boulder bars with bolts so they can be removed.  My problem is many fuel system components are in the left frame rail.  How have others handled this?  Thanks for helping.

How about making up a bar system that is complete with its own sub frame from side to side that attaches to the bottom of the truck frame when in use?

Hello,
The idea that SnoMan suggested sounds great.

You could build up a subframe that would stay attached to the truck. It would have 2" receivers front and rear on each side. The boulder bars could be slid into the 2" receivers and attached with tractor pins.
Then, the installation and removal of te boulder bars would take about 5 minutes.

I think I might build me a pair!

Good Luck,

My truck has recently been described as both "Boring and Mechanical". And I love it!
