the piolt bushing from the old tranny had about a 1/16 gap all the way a round.

Did you install a new pilot bushing that matches the T176?

If the T15 pilot tip was sloppy in the pilot bushing about a 1/16" inch all the way around, that's why you were breaking input shafts. That's huge!

yah i got the whole clutch kit with pilot for the t176.

if I get a cross member that will bolt up Ill be back at it. the old cross member wont work with the new tranny. gona see if the one out of my old 66 cj5 will work for now.
