Just got a 2003 Ford Explorer with a 4.6L V8 4wd with the independent rear end, problem is cant find any type of lift for it, even with fourwheelparts looking. Just wanted to lift it 4" or so but no luck yet, any help would be nice.

Given the reputation to rolling that the 02 and earlier Explorers had and the quiet redesgn of 03 model to improve it roll resistane, there may be issues of implyied liablity to increasing its tendancy to roll that some lift kit makers do not what to buy into. It is not a good vehicle to lift stabilty wise. If I was a lift kit maker given the track record of law suits with 02 and earlier model, I would not want to have anything to do with that vehicle.

The main reason why the Ford Exploders roll over is because of the narrow frames that they used and that they are top heavy. My Ford Ranger has the same frame as the Exploders, I think? In my Ranger, I like this design as I can fit wider tires on my truck without rubbing, but I'm no where near as top heavy as the Exploders.
Check one out if you don't agree!!!
