1992 k1500 700r4 converter control

How is the torque conveter lockup controlled in a 1992 TBI k1500 with a 700r4? I plan on installing a ram jet 350 into my truck when my engine finally kicks the bucket but im not sure what i need to do to have the 700r4 still work right (lockup and unlock converter at right time stuff like that). Also if you no of any other problems with the swap it would be nice to no them thanks.
