I wanna put a suspension lift under my 1997 Cheyenne but need to make sure she still can fit in the garage. Right now its stock, and I have just over 10 inches to spare before I hit the garage door.
Is a 4 inch lift best with some 35 inch tires? Will a 6 inch lift work or is it too much?
If you guys can give my any suggestions on a lift/tire combination it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

a 4inch procomp lift, 33" allterrains. 16 or 17 inch rims. that will give you the extra ground clearance but still be reasonable enough to use the bed. plus your being nice to your ifs. but dont forget to gear up. 4.56s will be good for towing, gas mileage, and the grunt you need on the low end. plus you will still have 5 inches of clearance. you dont want it to be too tight

i factored that in. im guessing you either have 245s(30") or 265s(31"). upgrade that to a 33incher. 2 extra inches of rubber. but only 1 inch is on the bottom half of the tire so an inch of tire lifter plus 4 inch suspension. 5 extra inches. if hes got 10" of clearance now he will have 5.

Thanks guys. I am running 265s right now, I think the 4 inch lift with 33s will look great. I really want to go with the 35s but I dont want to go 12.5 wide. Im looking for a tall but narrow tire, I want to keep the stock steel rims.
How tuff are these lift kits to install myself? I did a 96 Jeep back when it was new and it wasnt too hard.

Well you can go with a 6 inch lift and 36's ... but you might just wanna deflate the tires down to like 2 pounds of pressure to pull it in your garage lol
