Why not hit up Napa and buy a new radiator? With all the issues you've had with it a new one seems like the most logical choice, at least to me.

im trying to stay in budget. I have a feeling im going to have to evenually replace the motor also because they installed a late 70s engine in it. im worried that if i put big money it, its gonna get taken ( i currently only have street parking)

Theres one or two here in Pomona. There is also a Pick A Part on Miliken, in Ontario I believe.
Auto WRECKING 1420 E 1st St, Pomona, CA - (909) 623-6108? Not sure if that #'s still good.
ALSO
U Pick U Save Self-Serv Auto - 1560 E Mission Blvd, Pomona, CA - (909) 623-6108?

$125. If it were me, I'd pop for the new one. It would end all the headaches. Why pull a used one from a junker that may have the same problems that you are having. There is no way of knowing it doesn't leak or isn't clogged.

It's insured right? I highly doubt a thief is going to look at it and say "Hmm... looks like he put a radiator in it... I think I'll steal it now."

A "well" placed kill switch can stop a total vehicle theft.Don't be obvious with placement. Be creative. As for radiator, new is best.

These are only suggestions so here I go. I am assuming your fuel injected if you drive it in California. Think outside the box. The distributor isn't the only part to disable. How about the fuel pump, engine control module, starter soloniod or anything that won't let your ride start.Run wires in harness to hide them. What he can't see he can't defeat. Run more then one and really twist his curlys.
