Well, anything can be done if you throw enough money at it. This would be a very interesting project, that's for sure. You'd have to do some research as to what (if any) similarities the two frames might share. Obviously you would need a frame from a toyota that is 1984 or older (85 was when they went to IFS). Then look into the necessary adapters and mounts you would need to swap the S10 engine and tranny to the toyota frame. You will still need to use the toyota tcase to line up with the front diff, so an adapter will be needed to go from S10 tranny to toyota tcase. Short answer is yes, it can be done. However, it will require a lot of money, as well as a firm mechanical aptitude and a solid background in welding and fabrication. You're probably looking at all of the body mounts being custom fabbed. Also custom steering will be in order to adapt the S10 column and pump/reservoir to the Toyota box. Wiring it would be tricky as well. Best bet would be to take the S10 wiring harness completely out of the S10 and graft it to the Toyota frame. This way it will be all original with the S10 body and computer controlled engine and tranny. So, yes it can be done, but will be a pretty dificult chore to say the least. You know, a much more common swap that you may run into is swapping the S10 body onto a full size straight axle 73-91 Blazer. Either way, you're in for a ton of custom work. It would be much easier to sell what ever you have now, and start with a straight axle truck, or a truck that the aftermarket has already done all the work for concerning a straight axle swap. Like any year Toyota pick up or 4runner for example. There are companies out there that you can buy a complete conversion kit for and all the hard work has already been figured out. To the best of my knowledge, a kit like that for the S10 does not exist. So, my best advice to you, is to sell your S10 for whatever you can get out of it. Then, take that money and buy a straight axle rig like an early 80's toyota p/u or 4runner, or a solid axle chevy. Whether it be a p/u, a blazer or a burb. Any of those would provide the solid foundation you are looking for WAY cheaper than modding that S10. Sorry, probably not what you wanted to hear, but it's the truth. Good luck.

The easy way to do the is to, Figure out what side you from end loads on whether its the ford side where you front diff is on the left or if its on the Chevy side on the left. if its on the left you go with a toyota 86 or older cause its straight Axel with leafs or after 87 jeep witch load on the left and is only 2 inches narrower the your truck. wheel spacers for is through quadratec are only 150.

Wow, I'm usually not one to comment on anothers grammer, but HOLY CRAP! I figure you're trying to tell him what axle to use here but man, it's pretty hard to decipher that mumbo jumbo. Also, a Jeep front axle would be just another PITA because of the spring under configuration. Would be way easier to just go with Toyota axles all the way around and just swap the tcase to whichever one is the most condusive to your swap and axle configuration.
