i have an 84 isuzu diesel 4x4 with no transmission and was wondering if any one knows of a suitable replacement for it i want some thing that will make use of the little power it has and be streetable i know it came with a 4 speed and wanted either a 5speed or auto with o/d

Sorry but the 5 speed was only available in 86 and 87 and very rare. No auto was offered with 4X4 diesel. You need to find a diesel tranny or at least the front case of the diesel tranny. The diesel has the starter on the drivefr side and gas has it on the pass. side. If You have the front diesel case You can use the gas tranny parts by just swapping out the front part of the tranny. If You can't find on let Me know and I may find one for You. I don't usually buy 4X4 trucks, I'm into 2X4 trucks. I usually pass on them. I have a person that takes them and in turn He give Me the chance to buy the 2X4 trucks. Good Luck Lquick
