Can anyone tell me what would cause the transmission (5sp) to grind when downshifing into 3rd gear? It does it most of the time, but not all the time. The Trans was ordered from Mantrans.com , I sent it back to them because it was grinding 3rd gear on the downshift, they said they didnt find anything wrong with it but they replaced 3rd gear sincros and 3rd gear. i'm using Lucus 75w 90 gear oil. Also it has a new clutch and flywheel. Could it be caused by the master or slave cylinder? Thanks For Any Info.

I have an 87 Raider myself. I had the same problem out of the factory tranny. I replaced it and still had the same problem. My buddy took it for a few months while I was gone and he fixed it. He went to the salvage yard and got a new shifter. that was it. Good luck hope it helps.
