I wish we could make a change but being a new business owner and dependent on profits I gotta work first play later.

We missed our first Moab trip in 4 years this year because we are working....

we will make it back soon for sure...

Quick question, is the camping location near the beach, or where we are going? I hear its mainly sand dunes...anyone have any pics from prior trips. Thanks.

We will park on the sand right near the high tide mark. The only off-roading is sand. There are large dunes to climb, whoops to mob through, bowls to surf around, and a couple hundred jumps if that's your thing. Any body will have fun regardless if you drive a bone stock 4x4 or a built up 2wd. There are plenty of people out there to pull you out if you get stuck, but being smart about driving will get you around anywhere out there. You will have a blast, I guarantee it.

looking forward to this trip. Is anyone reserving ahead? Or just paying to camp once you get there?

It's wise to reserve ahead. If it fills up, which it can do, and you get caught camping without a pass it's a $275 ticket. And they do check.

My plan is to watch the available spots on ReserveAmerica and if it gets close, I'll reserve ahead. Otherwise I plan to show up and save the processing fees.

Hopefully this gets you close. You can also just search "Oceano Dunes" for the campsite name. Only 850 sites out of 999 left, better hurry up! lol

That's what I do too... well, that's what Jon does. I don't think I've made a reservation in years, if ever, he always takes care of it... lol

So Jon if your reading, we need reservations

Oooh, ocean view for sure. Only this time I'll park in the back so no rangers wandering by bother checking registration. That was kinda annoying.
