I may as well bump this up with my intent to go. Will most likely take the Tacoma with paddles. Leaving Thursday after work through Sunday. Will have to put up with the wife complaining it's her birthday the whole weekend tho, yay.

I'm trying to get the same friends to go, but they'll probably back out at the last limit anyways.

So it looks like our summer vacation is in jeopardy, so it looks like we are about 50% in for leaving Thursday night. I'm getting stoked. Time to tune up the truck and dust off the paddles!

So how does this work with the camping situation? Do you have to make reservations, or is it on a first come, first served basis?

Well it will be a busy weekend, so you can go online and reserve those nites. Not sure where exactly, i'm sure someone will tell you.. It is otherwise first come at the site. So I'll probably book mine online soon. Cuz i'm planning to be there thur nite thru sun..

reserveamerica.com is a website you can reserve a spot on the beach. there are no campsites we just plop down wherever and setup camp.  Its really easy.  from what i hear fathers day weekend is very nice and not crowded.  you can either grab a spot when you arrive for like 10 bucks a night or something like that or reserve online. just make sure you bring your print out.

they have Poles out there with numbers on them and we usually stay around pole 3 to pole 5 pending on crowds.  as it get closer more info will pop up.   looks like we will have a good size group going.
