I am currently looking for a new truck, i am looking for a F-250 superduty because i will be using the truck for a work truck, tow vehicle and for plowing snow. But i can't decide what motor i want in the truck im not sure if i want the 5.4 V8 the 6.8 V10 or the diesel. i am leaning toward the gas motors because the maintenance costs are high on diesels. i am just looking for advice on what kind of truck to get and what would be the best motor for the truck for what i will be using it for. also if any one owns a truck like this what motor do you have and are you happy with it.

For what you are planning to do, diesel, 100%.

diesels do cost some money for routine maint. but will outlast a gas engine by far. I would avoid the V10 like the plague!

The V10 isn't a bad engine necessarily, but they get horrible mileage and have a nac for blowing spark plugs out of the heads.
